Teddy in a Box

A Debbie Brown inspired cake.  Cake I made for my daugther's preschool summer party.  It was a big hit with the kids and adults :D  It was a hot day so the lid was starting to melt a bit :(  But it was still a success :)  Isn't the teddy bear so cute....

1st Birthday Fun

Cake that I made for a very happy 1 year old.  He was more excited about his cake than his gifts at his birthday party :)  Everything is molded out of fondant.  The lollipop is store bought, I was going to try and make it but decided at the last minute not to (don't know how to make candy).

Little Baby Brother

Cake I made for a baby boy's christening.  Both characters are replicas of my friend's kiddos.  Her little girl is a red head with freckles and her little boy just loves his lime green elephant.  Cake is an After Eight Cake (the chocolate).  Rest of character are marshmellows fondant.  I love the way I capture the details in each character.  I love making cakes!!!

Baby Boy's World

My 1st cake of the year & also my first cake after 2 months of open hand surgery :D I just LOVE the way this cake came out. I was scared that I was not going to pull it off since it was my first time working with my hands again. The whole cake was at my friend's request. She came with her own drawing & then told me what all she wanted on the cake. At first I was like 'YIKES', but I was extremly happy at how it came out. All figures are made out of fondant & hand molded from scratch. 1st layer of cake is vanilla with buttercream frosting, 2nd is vanilla with chocolate frosting & 3rd layer is chocolate with vanilla frosting, covered in MMF of course :) All bears are chocolate fondant & anything with yellow is banana fondant.

Powder Fun

Christening cake that I made for a friend's little boy. A baby having fun with baby powder pouring it all over. This idea was cute & I wanted the each pillow edge to have a stuff animal that a little boy would have in his room.
