Gone Fishing

I made this cake for my husband's 32nd birthday. This was just my 2nd fondant cake. I'm still learning how to work with it & be able to mold with it. My husband likes to go fishing, although he never really catches anything. I wanted to make him a cake & this is what I came up with. I was impressed as this was my 2nd try at working with fondant :)

Wilton inspired cake for a friend's baby shower here in Danmark. Still practicing on making my buttercream smooth. Clouds & face of baby are sugar cookies.

Bib Cake

Cake I made for a friend that was going on maternity leave in Danmark. She wanted to take American cakes to her job. It was a hit!! She didn't even get a piece :}

4th of July Cake

1st Fondant Cake!!!

This was my very 1st fondant cake!!! I went back home (USA) for a visit & got caught up in all the hipe about cakes. Its amazing what can be done. I wanted so bad to learn so that I could make my daugther's 1st birthday cake. I went online & found out how to make fondant (it was hard). Then I just started to put things together. I have a long way to go from the pros, but I manage to make a 4th of July cake for a party here in Danmark. There's a group us Americans here & we have to celebrate home holidays. It was a hit & my friends where surprised at what I did. I'm really hoping to master or at least get better at making cake using fondant.
