Rainbow of Roses Wedding Cake
2nd Wedding that that I have been asked to make. The cake topper is a replica of what was on the couple's wedding invitation & the birds as well. This was my first time making roses. I had to transport the layers of cake 3 hours away - YIKES!! It made it there in one piece & I was really happy how it came out.

DeWalt Toolbox
My husband works in construction so for his birthday I decided to make him a toolbox. I had to look at his toolbox to see what tools I should make. All tools were hand molded, I don't have a mold for the tools. So each one of them I had to look at the actusal tool then try to mold them. Think it came out pretty good. Top layer of cake is orange, bottom is butter, frosted with strawberry buttercream covered in MMF.

French Poodle

I made this cake for a really great friend of mine that her daugther, Kayla's birthday was French Poodle theme. She loves the episode of Wonder Pets when they save the French Poodle from the Eiffel tower. Kayla is really cute because she asked me, "Are you going to make me a Pluto cake?" I was like, I thought you wanted a Poodle cake? Ana told me she can't really say Poodle so she says Pluto. Its so cute & funny, so I told her, "Yes I will make you your "Pluto" cake.
Lady Liberty

Happy Anniversary to Det var så!!!
My cousin Ivania had a house warming\4th of July party. 3rd of July marks my one year anniversary for making cakes. So I told my cousin that I would make her a 4th of July cake but I wanted to make it special because it was my annivarsary. What better idea to celebrate a anniversary than the Statue of Liberty - well a cute on at least :D This was also my first time using rice crispie treats to make a 3D cake. I'm really proud of myself, here's to more annivarsaries & cakes!!!

Wrapped in Glory

This cake is Wilton inspired. I wanted to make a cake for my family for the 4th of July. I love to look at Wilton's site for inspiration & ideas. I didn't want to make a huge cake, because I knew that there would be other desserts there. It was a hit, all my family liked it & I was glad I was able to make it. Funny though, one of my cousins that just found out that I'm making cakes asked, "Did you make this?" My brother joking said, "Nah, she got it at Target". I had to laugh.

World Cup 2010

This cake was a request for the world cup game; Mexico vs. Argentina. Client just told me he wanted a soccer game with Mexico's jersey somewhere on the cake. My first thought was to incorporate the world cup - WOW I did it!! I could not believe I was able to replicate the 2010 World Cup logo. The client was just amazed & extremely happy. I was glad to be asked to make something for a worldwide event & happy to add it to my portfolio :D
