Nurse Saves the Day!!

This cake was for Clara, she was turning 4 & already knew what she wanted to be when she grows up ;)  She wanted a hospital cake, her only request was - Hospital HAD to be purple!!  The rest I came up with.  I think that sometimes doctors feel that nurses don't know how to do their work.  This nurse showed him :D  This was my first time working with marcipan, all my cakes are fondant.  So it was a bit hard.  Cake is 3 layers: chocolate, vanilla, chocolate; chocolate frosting covered with marcipan. 

Heart Shaped Candybox

A friend of mine wanted a cake for her mom's birthday.  Her idea was to give her a heart shaped candybox.  I just had to make sure that I create her idea in a cake.   This cake is what I came up with.  Hershey's kisses are store bought (sometimes you gotta cheat ;)  Chocolate orange cake, chocolate frosting covered in marshmellow fondant.  Lid of cake is made out of fondant as well as the roses. 

A little Bit of Everything

Cake I made for a friend's birthday in February. I called it a little bit of everything because her birthday fell on a busy week. Birthday, fastelavn (danish halloween) & Valentine's Day. I decided to put all 3 things on her cake. At the end, I added the "Fastelavn Ris" tree branch where you decorate it with masks, candy for the kiddos.
