Sewing Fun

This cake I made for a friend's mom that loves to sew. I had to go online & research to see what all a person needs to sew. At the same time she wanted me add her mom's dog Max on the cake. Since she loves her dog. Top of cake is vanilla bottom is chocolate. Everything is ediable and made out of MMF fondant. I love the way this cake cake out. My favorite part is the measuring tape.

A World of Bugs

2nd cake where I molded animals, well bugs out of fondant. A friend of mine wanted me to make her a cake with all kinds of bugs. To make them look through the eyes of a child. I made them colorful & sweet looking. Just like a child would see them. She also wanted the bumble bee to be the main center piece. Happy Birthday Mia!!

Frog's Pond Life

My daugther Catelyn is lucky that she got to celebrate her 1st Birthday twice. Since we live in Denmark (for now). I wanted to celebrate her 1st Birthday with family & friends when we're in town. I made it a frog theme to match her frog invitations. This was the first time that I started to work with fondant in creating animals. Also the first time working with gumpaste. The frogs, fish, flowers, etc.; all came out so cute. After this cake I wasn't afraid to try and mold animals out of fondant. Everyone at the party didn't think it was a cake. They thought it was a center piece ;}

Sunflowers & A Little LadyBug

I was happy that I was home this year. Every year that I was home I always bought my mom a birthday present. This year I was happy to have made her something from my heart & something that I made. She likes flowers, so I decided to make her a sunflower cake. I thougght adding the ladybug made it cute. This was my first attempt in trying to make bugs out of fondant. Its strawberry cake, cream cheese frosting covered in MM fondant.
